Lisa Chapman

President, At Large Director

Lisa is a Nebraska native who has lived in Los Angeles for 36 years. She has lived in Westwood and has been on staff at UCLA for 33 years. She began her career as a staff nurse, then went on to do GI bleeding research, Management in Executive Health, and currently is the Practice Manager for UCLA Health in the Plaza Office. This is Lisa’s fourth term serving on the board of the Westwood Neighborhood Council. She holds the At large Seat. This term she once again serves as President of the Council.

Lisa is married with three children, two grown sons, and a daughter who is a Junior at Penn State, and who will graduate as a Second Lieutenant next year and serve her country in the United States Army. Her husband owns a business in Westwood Village.

Lisa had previously been very active volunteering at her kid’s schools, and was an active fundraiser throughout 25 years in local public grade schools and middle schools in the Westwood area. She also obtained a certificate in non-profit grant writing from UCLA. Lisa is also one of the founding members of ACT4EDUCATION, a non-profit group dedicated to academically strengthening the local public middle and high schools in Westwood.

Lisa cares deeply about the rise of homelessness in Westwood, and throughout the country. For the last few years she has co-chaired the Westwood Los Angeles Homeless Count, which helps to provide a correct census of the homeless population in order for our community to receive much needed HUD and funds from the federal government to assist with homeless projects right here in our Westwood community. Lisa co-chairs the Homelessness task force of the WWNC.

Lisa has strong and loyal ties to Westwood and the entire West Los Angeles community. She believes that it is important to give back to your community, and that volunteering and community involvement is what fosters growth and prosperity for the community where one lives and works. She hopes that her service on the Westwood Neighborhood Council will help to bring the Westwood community, UCLA, and the many committees working together as one entity for the benefit of our entire community.
